What are Employer Networks?

CITB offers additional funding from January to the end of March to fully cover the cost of Future Skills Training. This means Employer Networks funds the training entirely, so there’s no cost to you. To qualify for full funding, all training must be completed by 31 March.

How Does This Impact Other CITB Funding?

This funding is entirely separate from other CITB grants, such as the Skills and Training Fund. That means businesses can take advantage of this support without affecting their eligibility for other CITB financial assistance. It’s a great way to reduce training costs while maintaining a skilled, compliant workforce at a significantly lower expense.

What are Employer Networks? | C&C Training

What Are Employer Networks?

Employer Networks, funded and established by CITB, are designed to make it easier for construction employers to access the training and support they need—without the hassle of paperwork.

Their key objectives are:

  1. Simplifying Access to Training and Funding – Employer Networks help businesses secure training in essential areas, from trade skills to future-focused topics like net zero, digital skills, and mentoring. They also handle the organisation, so you don’t need to apply for funding yourself.

  2. Shaping Training to Meet Industry Needs – By bringing employers together at a local level, these networks provide CITB with insights on training priorities, ensuring funding is allocated effectively to address both immediate and future skills gaps.

Since launching in July 2022, the Employer Network pilot has successfully helped over 1,000 employers train their staff. In fact, 86% of employers found it easier to access training through Employer Networks

Throughout 2024, we are expanding the initiative to provide coverage across Great Britain. By working together, employers are actively influencing how CITB funding is spent and ensuring it supports the skills that matter most.

How to Register

To access the CITB Employer Network Fund through C&C Training:

  1. Get in touch and we’ll guide you through the registration process, ensuring all your training needs are covered.
  2. We’ll introduce you to your local Employer Network representative.
  3. Book your training with C&C Training.
  4. We handle the rest as our team at C&C Training will manage the invoicing process with CITB.
