How The Health, Safety & Environment Test is Changing

The HS&E test contributes towards a qualified workforce with the right knowledge, skills and training. For everyone working on UK construction sites it helps to:

• Raise health, safety and environmental standards
• Support the prevention of health, safety and environmental incidents
• Establish consistent standards

However, the test is undergoing a redevelopment in order to continue achieving its intended purpose of setting standards to help support the prevention of construction-related accidents in order to reflect the changes in the industry.

What will be changing?

• As of January 2018 there will be new question types which contextualise and increase relevance
• As of April 2018 there will be updated support and revision materials
• As of June 2019 new questions based on relevant construction activity, including alignment with HSE focus areas
